Boddie was charged, along with 11 other people, with running a heroin-distribution ring. According to federal documents, Boddie of Hampton, Va., was charged with dealing heroin and money laundering for his alleged involvement in a 2014 operation that involved more than 1 kilogram of heroin, the New York Daily News reports. Seven of the 12 charged made appearances in U.S. District Court in Norfolk on Wednesday, but Boddie remains at large, officials say.

According to the Daily News, it’s unclear whether Boddie and Vick, who played 13 seasons in the NFL before retiring earlier this year, have a relationship. Boddie’s other son, NFL flameout Marcus Vick, has had several run-ins with the police and is currently facing an ecstasy-possession charge, which reportedly is still pending, the Daily News reports.
