Marjorie Taylor Greene Finally Reveals If She’s Officially Turning Democrat

Marjorie Taylor Greene– disliked by Democrats and alienated from Republicans — addresses rumors of possibly switching parties.

The jury is still out on what former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has planned after leaving office, but she rebuked wishful thinking that she’s abandoning the Republican party anytime soon. Rumors and mystery has swarmed the Georgian politician for months, and during a recent interview, Greene dished on all of it.

We previously told you the former MAGA darling resigned from the House of Representatives following months of criticizing President Donald Trump and his allies. The files concerning Jeffrey Epstein, artificial intelligence (AI) legislation and more have driven a wedge between Greene and the rest of her party. So much so that “The View” co-host Joy Behar suggested for Greene to “maybe now you should become a Democrat” during her appearance on Wednesday (Jan. 7).

Greene responded saying changing parties wouldn’t solve any issues. “It’s Democrats and Republicans together that have put us in nearly $40 trillion in debt. I don’t support a border invasion,” she said, referring to former President Joe Biden’s immigration policy. “People like Laken Riley were murdered because our border was invaded. I don’t support those policies.”

Greene has been a harsh critic of the Democrats for years. Tensions between the Republican and many Democrats in Congress heightened in 2024 after repetitive incidents with Democrats like Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett. We’re sure you all remember Crockett’s “bleach blonde, bad built, butch body” remark against Greene during a committee meeting.

But we digress… Greene has a contentious history with the Democratic party, but she’s now being alienated by the Republicans. Now, she said she’s not focused on the two party system at all.

“I haven’t said if I’m leaving the Republican Party, but my focus is America first,” Greene continued to “The View.” While Greene’s beef with Republicans is clear, she argued the Democrats are nowhere better.

“Joe Biden left office and we were $33 trillion in debt,” Greene added. “The Democrats controlled Congress under Nancy Pelosi, spent trillions and trillions of dollars, and now it’s gone up even more. I’ve said both parties. I’m the one saying both parties.”

Greene’s last day in Congress was Jan. 5. But she wouldn’t be the first conservative to dissent from Trump’s MAGA movement. Podcaster Candace Owens admitted to regretting her vote for Trump. Joe Rogan and other influential right-wing voices have also condemned the president’s policies.

Many have speculated Greene secretly has plans to run for Senate or even the presidency. She shot down all the rumors. “I have zero plans, zero desire to run for president. I would hate the Senate. I’m not running for governor,” Greene said last month.
