Little White Girl in Pink Jacket Becomes a Gangsta Viral Star, But Some Ask, ‘What if She Were Black?’

Many on Black TikTok think the viral video would have received a much different reaction if the little girl was Black.

A young girl in the UK has become a social media star for going gangsta in a shopping mall. According to the story circulating on TikTok, the girl, who was shopping with what we assume are her mother and siblings, was reported to mall security for shoplifting.

But what happened next is almost too outrageous to believe. The tiny terrorist made her way up the down escalator, steps to her accusers, snatches one of the by the hair and then sashays her way back down the escalator with a smirk on her face like she was proud of herself.

A Baby Badass?

The now-viral video has been blowing up on TikTok, and viewers are calling the girl Junie B. Jones, after the main character in the popular Barbara Park children’s book series about a mischievous first grader. Some Black folks are praising the little girl for handling her business like a boss.

Don’t let the pink coat fool you, that little girl is Gangsta,” wrote someone on TikTok.

Others agreed that only a badass walks the wrong way on an escalator to start a fight.

“Mind you she went up the going down escalator to throw hands,” wrote another TikTok user.

TikTok user @kjmn263 said she believes the person on the other end of that little girl’s head-snatching must have had it coming.

“Don’t know what they did to her, but whatever they did to her to make her run up that escalator to deliver that fade like that, they most definitely deserved it,” she said.

What if She Were Black?

But some aren’t convinced that the little girl would have gotten so much love if she were Black.

“If she had been a black child, they would have arrested her her siblings and her mother that’s who all was in on it,” wrote someone on TikTok.

TikToker Foxy Brown agrees, adding that she’s disappointed that so many Black people were cheering her on.

“Me watching the Black people praise this little girl for her behavior. Knowing if it was a Black girl she would be called ghetto, aggressive, untrained a bad child LMAO and y’all wonder why we have Karen’s Bhad Babies, why they are so enticed and believe they can act any way. Because they DO and never get reprimanded, only rewarded,” she wrote on a post.

TikTok user Dean Daze chimed in on the conversation with a similar take.

“Had she looked like any other little girl, y’all probably wouldn’t be giving it up for her like this,” he said.
