Just a few days ago, we were all wondering if Lil Nas X was OK after startling video footage of him out walking the streets of Los Angeles surfaced. Now, we’re wondering what’s about to happen to him next thanks to a new, troubling update.

As we previously told you, the “Industry Baby” rapper was captured on video strutting the streets of Los Angeles alone, runway style, wearing nothing but white underwear and cowboy boots. After area residents got wind of him, they got the local authorities involved.

However, things didn’t go so well as it was later reported that Nas X allegedly “charged” at the officers before he was eventually subdued, and taken into custody. The police then took to an area hospital on suspicion that he was acting out in response to a drug overdose.

After being services, the rapper booked for a misdemeanor of obstructing an officer was made to stay in jail over the weekend.

According to USA Today, the “Old Town Road” rapper has been officially charged with three counts of battery with injury on a police officer and one count of resisting an executive officer. He pleaded not guilty to all charges and the judge set bail at $75,000 and told the rapper that he had to attend Narcotics Anonymous meetings.

Describing the incident as an “an aberration,” Nas X’s lawyer Drew Findling told reporters on Monday, per The Hollywood Reporter: “He’s never been in trouble for a split second in his existence, we’re not going to let one little event change the trajectory of his amazing life. There’s no way to have a sense of what happened this immediately, but we’re going to look into it and do the right thing.”

Speaking to TMZ later on Monday, the rapper’s father gave an update on his son’s condition, noting that he’s “remorseful for what happened,
that “in good spirits” and clarified that his son wasn’t on drugs during the incident.
