Now, thereโ€™s talk that the Obamas are teaming up with two big names whoโ€™ve also had major success breaking out into the world of entertainment: NBA champion LeBron James and NFL star Peyton Manning.

Several news outlets are reporting that LeBron Jamesโ€™ production company, SpringHill Company, and Peyton Manning Manningโ€™s Omaha Production are in talks with the Obamaโ€™s production company for a new NBA series. The series would reportedly follow NBA players in a similar approach to the Quarterback, which focuses on big names like Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins, and Marcus Mariota.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the series would likely air on Netflix, where the Obamas have a โ€œfirst-lookโ€ deal. The NBA is also expected to be involved in the project.

The Obamas founded Higher Ground in 2018, and the brand has taken off from there. Higher Ground has a television and film deal with Netflix, and they also inked out a podcast deal with Audible. They produced a mix of heartfelt dramas, such as Kevin Hartโ€™s Fatherhood, and insightful documentaries like Crip Camp.

Although there isnโ€™t confirmation on whether this new series has been green-lit, there are certainly plenty of fans of Basketball, the Obamas, James, and Manning, who are certain to eat this new potential series up.
