From Lauryn Hill co-signing Doechii to New Edition closing out the event, here are the best moments at the festival

Over the weekend, Jazz In The Gardens took place in Miami and was the ultimate place to be for music fans. The festival, which was hosted by the City of Miami Gardens, was once again produced by the Black Promoters Collective.

Coco Jones looked flawless as she donned a black leather outfit during her performance. The “ICU” singer thanked the Miami crowd for coming out to see her shine.

Xscape

Xscape, a group that has gone from a quartet to a trio, stunned in all white as they performed ballads like “Who Can I Run To” and “Understanding.”

Busta Rhymes

Busta Rhymes looked ultra fit in a pink and red outfit while doing an eclectic mashup of classics like “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See” and the Mariah Carey track “I Know What You Want.”

Yung Joc

Yung Joc performed his 2006 hit, “It’s Goin’ Down,” and did his famous dance that accompanies the song.

The human beatbox and Root 100 honoree himself, Doug E. Fresh, made a cameo at Jazz In The Gardens. Here, he is sporting a Basquiat themed ensemble.

Uncle Luke

Can Miami really have a music event and not bring out the legendary Uncle Luke? The 2 Live Crew emcee was on hand to do a couple of songs, much to the audience’s satisfaction.

Every music festival should have a little time for worship, and Tye Tribbett absolutely provided the vibes. His modern take on gospel was a welcome reprieve for everyone in attendance.

The artist on everyone’s lips—Doechii—looked sexy as she took the stage at Jazz In The Gardens. Before delving into her own set, she performed “Doo Wop” alongside the one and only Lauryn Hill.

Ms. Lauryn Hill, alongside fellow Fugees member Wyclef Jean, delivered a special set called Diaspora Calling! featuring YG Marley. Hill and Jean also did several Fugees hits.

Beenie Man and Mya

Beenie Man pleasantly surprised the crowd by bringing out R&B songstress Mya. Together, the duo performed their 1996 track “Girls Dem Sugar.”

DJ Cassidy’s Pass The Mic Live!
