You should’ve already known that as soon as Kimora Lee Simmons shared her two cents about where she stands with her ex-husband Russell Simmons, there was going to be some forthcoming drama. And wouldn’t you know it, there’s definitely some brewing on social media.

As we previously told you, things kicked off over the weekend after Kimora gave an interview with PEOPLE where she shared that she was the “primary parent” for all her kids. She also revealed that she doesn’t have a relationship really with any of their fathers.
“Usually I would say that I co-parent okay, but the kids are with me full-time. I’m pretty much the primary parent. It’s difficult, but I don’t know sometimes what other people are thinking. Guys are weird,” she explained.
After getting wind of her words, Russell immediately went on the defense and hopped on social media to share that there are two sides to every story. In a post to Threads over the weekend sharing a screenshot of her interview, Russell wrote: “I gave u 50,000 a month for 20 years. I was ur best /only friend. I’m the godfather to your other 3 kids, until one day you stole my stock. I have been fighting for my kids love and my bread ever since. You threatened that if I sued you, I would never speak to my kids again. There are two sides to every story.”
Now, it looks like his words have gotten back around to Kimora and she’s pushing all the way back on the narrative that she’s done anything to keep him away from their kids. (To jog your memory, Kimora and Russell share two daughters together, 25-year-old Ming Lee and 23-year-old Aoki Lee.)
In a since-expired post to her Instagram stories on Monday night, Kimora wrote: “My ‘girls’ are GROWN WOMEN! You know these are lies. Why are you typing from thousands of miles away in a non extradition country? Go negotiate and Answer your Accusers.”
Of course, those “accusers” are in reference to the handful of lawsuits Russell is facing which include but aren’t limited to the defamation suit filed against him by Drew Dixon, a sexual assault lawsuit filed by a Jane Doe in February 2024 and more.
Russell has maintained his innocence for all charges and allegations.
