In a recent sit-down for Complex with her “All’s Fair” co-star Niecy Nash-Betts, reality star and entrepreneur Kim Kardashian says her eldest daughter, North, is unbothered by internet trolls who come at her and her mom for looks they think are too mature for her age. The latest backlash was sparked after North’s recent TikTok showed her and her friends sporting fake tattoos and piercings around Halloween.

Kardashian defended the look as just girls having fun, explaining to her co-star that North and her friends love dressing up.

“Her and her girlfriends, they love doing costumes, they love doing looks,” Kim K told Nash-Betts. “It’s Halloween season, so they put on fake tattoos on their face, fake piercings. They all had their colored hair. They looked like an opium Powerpuff Girls. That’s what they were going for.”

But while some online didn’t see a problem with young girls playing dress up, especially if the tattoos and piercings were fake, others were quick to wave their red flags.

“As a black household will say north gonna be fast as hell🤣,” wrote someone on TikTok.

Some commenters even pointed the finger at Kim K, suggesting that she shouldn’t allow her tween to grow up too quickly.

“Nah what is actually going on she’s in middle school? This is bad parenting,” wrote another TikTok commenter.

While the online comments might be troubling, even to some grown-ups, Kardashian says her tween takes it all in stride, adding that North even took the time to respond to some of the naysayers.

“She takes my phone and she writes back to a comment,” Kardashian told Nash-Betts. “And she goes, ‘This is such a non-issue.’”
