R&B singer Kehlani’s is feeling the love for the latest hit single, “Folded.” But instead of basking in it all by herself, she taking it and giving it back in a new endeavor.

As announced on her Instagram on Thursday (Aug. 8), the popular R&B singer revealed she’d be offering free laundry services to moms and others as a thank you for all the support she’s received on her new song. On Saturday (Aug. 9), the “After Hours” singer will be partnering with seven different laundromats across seven different major cities for the considerate “give back.” Some of those cities include Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington D.C., Atlanta and more.
In the caption of her post, Kehlani spoke on the personal tie she had to this philanthropic idea and shoutout out both her fans and all moms all over.
“Growing up i knew how hard it was for all the single mamas in my family to get the tasks done on top of it all. clean clothes is a basic necessity. i got yall,” she said. “Thank you @engagecurrent for sponsoring this initiative, and my brother @city.james for such an incredible idea. AS A THANK YOU FOR SENDING THIS SONG OVER THE MOON! i love you mommy’s. you deserve the world.”
As the news spread, many of her fans and followers took to the comments section to praise her for innovativeness.
“you just a walking, beating heart!” wrote one user on Instagram.
“We made the right one famous,” said another.
One other user wrote: “We love you so much Kehlani, it’s the heartfelt things you do like this.”
Added another jokingly, “This is so fire omg. i still need to wash for this week, shout out to you for taking a load off somebody’s hands girl!!!”
