With all of the dating rumors that have been circulating around Karrueche Tran, she is finally addressing her connection to Deion Sanders… well, sort of. While chatting on the “What’s Next w/J. Ryan” podcast, the “Claws” actress was put on the spot about her love life, and what she shared next might surprise you.

The moment came up when Karrueche Tran and her longtime bestie, Christina Milian, were chatting about dating. “Is she dating right now?” host J. Ryan asked, before teasing, “I heard you took a liking to football recently.” Milian and J. Ryan both laughed, and Tran, smiling bashfully, admitted, “Yeah, I’m dating.”
In case you missed it, Sanders recently underwent bladder removal surgery to prevent his cancer from spreading, with Tran by his side. Since February, rumors have been circulating about Coach Prime and Tran when they were spotted having lunch together in Los Angeles. Naturally, the internet took this as a potential “hard launch” of their relationship.
“Is she having fun?” J. Ryan followed up. “If I wasn’t having fun, I wouldn’t be in it,” Tran replied. “I’m at a point in my life, I know what I want. I’ve dated a lot, I’ve done a lot. I’ve done young, old. So if I wasn’t happy, content, and feeling good in my situation, I’m not wasting my time.”
Tran – who has publicly dated Chris Brown and Victor Cruz in the past – made it clear she’s not settling. “I would rather be at home, namasting, in bed, doing my own thing if I’m not happy. I’m in a good place.”
Interestingly, Coach Prime has been tight-lipped about their rumored relationship to the point that he even cut a recent interview short. According to Complex, the football coach interviewed with Asante Samuel, who raised the question about his relationship status with Tran. “Don’t kill the messenger,” Samuel said. “Everyone seen Karrueche Tran by your side during your hospital visit. Everyone want to know what that friendship is.”
Sanders quickly played it off, pretending there was a poor connection. “We got a bad connection,” he said before disconnecting.” Smooth move, Coach Prime.
The internet has been keeping their eye on this rumored relationship for a while, and fans aren’t holding back their opinions.
One Instagram user wrote, “Is she dating? I saw that you took a liking to football recently.” “Love how he put that. Because yes, I’m asking for tea, respectfully!”
“I wish Deion was mine,” another Instagram user wrote. “You go girl! I know she is getting the princess treatment and allowance.”
And a third user added, “Y’all arguing over coffee while she’s always on a date with a millionaire. Please give the Deion and Chris comparison a rest.”
Though it’s still unclear that they are an item, we know more about them now. We’ll keep an eye out on them.
