Despite being found not guilty on federal charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, Diddy’s name is still buzzing in the streets. In particular, his name was brought up recently during an interview Steffans did on “Piers Morgan Uncensored” where she spoke on the nature of their relationship.
Describing it as “pleasant in the beginning,” Steffans said that she mostly saw Diddy in group settings after spending one night with him years ago. Things took a turn, however, in 2005 when she denied him early access to read her book “Confessions of a Video Vixen” months before its release.
That allegedly left a sour taste in Diddy’s mouth so much so that by the time the two would cross paths again months later at a party, he only allegedly acknowledged her with a menacing scowl.
Steffans went on to say that she felt Diddy was scared that she’d say something negative about him or his sexual proclivities in the book and that she felt he “hated her” ever since.
But perhaps the most eyebrow-raising moment of the interview came when Steffans was asked if she and Diddy had any sort of sexual relationship.
“No, Diddy and I did not. Well, not to my knowledge,” she said. “Not to my knowledge. Honestly, I’m questioning a lot of things right now…I don’t think anything. Not to my knowledge.”
She explained that she understood her response was strange and that she was unsure whether or not Diddy took advantage of her while she was under the influence of alcohol or drugs. She also noted that she hadn’t read her book in 20 years because she didn’t want to “re-traumatize herself again” and referenced a passage in her book in which she said at the time that she was unclear as to why the Bad Boy mogul was acting “so afraid” of her.
“It says I didn’t understand why he was so fearful of me because our time together was pleasant. I was like wait, ‘what is he so afraid of? What does he not want me to tell?’” she explained. “I didn’t see anything at that point. At that point, I hadn’t seen anything. At that point, I thought we had had a friendly, platonic, night together. So I was confused then and 20 years later, I’m confused now.”
She later doubled down on her previous response but still ended it with a baffling sentiment.
“To my knowledge, I’ve never had sex with Sean Combs. We never had that kind of relationship. [But] given what I know now, I can’t be sure,” she said.
Once her response hit the internet, folks online had plenty to say about the woman who was known to most in the music industry as “Superhead.” Chief among the chatter was a whole lot of skepticism.
“That lady looking for a payday,” wrote one user in the comments section of Morgan’s video on YouTube.
“This girl is looking for money, full stop. And she’s apart of the problem she’s talking about,” said another.
“Ok if you Karrine didn’t want to relive those events why you on the Piers Morgan show??! This convo makes no sense,” one other user said,
Over onX/Twitter, similar sentiments were expressed.
“Everybody kicks you when you’re down. To say “not to my knowledge” knowing you and the man never had sex is some evil shit smh,” one user wrote.
Added another, “She trying to leave the door open to sue Diddy. These hoes are diabolical.”
