As part of his recent photographer-assault conviction, West was sentenced to 250 hours of community service. But he’s not out there cleaning up the highways of Los Angeles. According to TMZ, West is speaking to fashion students about his personal experience in the fashion industry.

From leather jogging pants to sneaker deals, West has experience brokering deals and seeing them falter. There were some established brands in the fashion industry that wouldn’t touch his leather jogging pants with a 10-foot pole, but that didn’t stop him from wearing them. And yes, I will admit to owning four pairs of leather joggers, but those were purchased pre-Kanye. West has even been successful with having people shell out hundreds of dollars for his popular sneakers.

One student who was lucky enough to have Kanye’s presence as a present posted a photo on Instagram of West doing his thing:

“Kanye West speaking to the graduating fashion students at Los Angeles Trade Technical College about the business of fashion and his personal experience with the fashion industry,” @lovetiffanylavonne captioned the photo. “This is so dope!”

West has made three visits to Los Angeles Trade Technical College in the last six weeks. As he’s racking up his community-service hours, West still has two years of probation and 24 anger-management therapy sessions to complete.
