West may have “George Jefferson”-walked his way into Trump Towers a few weeks ago to meet with Donald Trump, but according to Tom Barrack, chairman of the Presidential Inauguration Committee, West just isn’t right for the “typically and traditionally American event.”

Barrack made these comments in an interview with CNN’s Erin Burnett and went on to say that the venue wasn’t “fitting” for the rapper.

“He’s been great, he considers himself a friend of the president-elect, but it’s not the venue. It’s going to be typically and traditionally American, and Kanye is a great guy; we just haven’t asked him to perform. And we move on with our agenda,” Barrack continued.

I guess Irish river dancer Michael Flatley is “traditionally American,” since he is scheduled to perform.
