Justin Bieber‘s latest project caught everyone by surprise after he dropped his 21-track album, “Swag,” with no announcement Friday (July 11). While the majority of folks were enjoying his seventh studio album, their bobbing heads quickly transitioned into side-eyes when they heard Sexyy Red on his track “Sweet Spot.”

After Bieber swoons how “these gentle hands will hold you” and asks to “hold you baby,” Sexyy Red starts rapping mid-way through the song, which turned some listeners completely off.
“Put it on me, baby, oh yeah, it’s been overdue (Uh-uh) / He gon’ do whatever I say ’cause Sexyy got that hoochie-coo (Hoochie coochie) / Never had a b***h like me, I’m gangster, but I keep it cute (On Blood),” Sexyy Red raps. Her verse goes on to detail how she calls her man when she wants to be intimate “cause me and him, we both some freaks / At first I was shy, but I’m a dog when I be in them sheets.”
Folks took to X to share their sheer disappointment in her feature and vulgar lyrics, saying her bars “destroyed the track’s vibe.”
Fans even noticed Kai Cenat’s whole mood go from smiling and dancing to downright confusion the second Sexyy’s verse starts in a recent livestream.
Some folks went as far as wanting to make a petition for Bieber to “release a solo version of sweet spot.”
Instead of Sexyy Red, JB fans suggested other artists who they deemed perfect for the track. “Sza would’ve sent this song into the stratosphere,” one person wrote on TikTok. Others named Summer Walker, Kehlani, or Don Toliver as more appropriate options.
As of this writing, neither Bieber nor Sexyy has spoken out about the backlash. However, I wouldn’t hold my breath for any remixes…as the pair has been extremely cozy as of late.
In April, a clip of the “Baby” singer kissing Sexyy Red on the cheek at her birthday party nearly broke the internet. Sexyy, real name Janae Nierah Wherry, shared the video on her Instagram, and actually replied to some comments. One user wrote, “Justin don’t be smiling like that with his girl,” to which Sexyy replied, “yes he do!!”
