In a heartfelt social media message to fans on Christmas Eve, superstar singer and dancer Janet Jackson announced that she was postponing her Unbreakable World Tour to undergo surgery.

“It breaks my heart to tell you that I am forced to postpone the Unbreakable Tour until the spring,” the 49-year-old star said in a message posted at her website and on social media platforms. “Every date will be rescheduled. Please hold on to your tickets.”

The star was next scheduled to perform Jan. 9 in Denver. The postponement comes after Jackson rescheduled several performances in October to rest her vocal cords.
