Last week, Andrea Buera—who is a friend of Songz’—told reporters that on Feb. 18, while attending a party, she was physically attacked by him.

Buera, who is represented by attorney Lisa Bloom, said that Songz began yelling at her, choking her and punching her before ultimately knocking her down on the ground.

Songz allegedly continued to punch Buera while she was on the ground and did not relent until his security guard pulled him off of her.

Buera was granted a temporary restraining order against Songz, and there is a hearing scheduled for March 27 to make that permanent.

Songz denies all of the allegations. It is hard to fathom why someone would make up a story like that, much less go to the trouble of filing a police report, especially since knowingly filing a fake police report is a crime in California. She could face up to six months in the county jail for doing so, and trust me—no one wants to spend six months in the county, especially a woman.

But, of course, these are just allegations at this point. Songz is innocent until proven guilty, but it is worth noting that he was already on probation in the state of Michigan after pleading guilty to charges of aggravated assault and punching a police officer six months ago.

So maybe, just maybe, he already has anger-management issues and a history of violence.

We should consider that when looking at this story.
