Internet Theories On Who’s Leaking Young Thug’s Jail Phone Conversations

After being caught dissing Kendrick Lamar, Andre 3000, GloRilla, Gunna and more, folks are still trying to figure out who is leaking Young Thug’s jail phone calls… and why.

It seems like everyday, another leaked phone conversation with rapper Young Thug drops. During the 900 days he was sitting in jail, Thug seemingly spent most of his time talking to his people, but the contents of these calls is nothing that anyone could’ve imagined.

Now, the internet has dragged him for gossiping about Memphis rapper GloRilla and accused him of snitching, but there’s one question that no one knows the answer to… and that’s who the hell is leaking all these phone calls in the first place???

If you’ve been living under a rock, we’re on the fourth leaked phone call stemming from the “So Much Fun” artist’s time in jail, and that’s not including the two-hour conversation with police where he implicated his friend in a shootout (or snitched, according to many online). But all of these conversations coming out right now sure has folks online talking, giving their best theories about who could be responsible.

On X, @johnnywave_ said, “I think it’s the Feds.” He added, “thug still corny but he beat a RICO… They making sure he’s humiliated.”

Others seem to agree. @FLAP__X tweeted, “Atlanta government is tearing Young Thug’s character apart with these jail call leaks, making sure he never ever comes back from this.” While there’s no concrete evidence to suggest Atlanta police have anything to do with the leaks, the timing is awfully suspicious.

It’s important to know that because these conversations happened with Young Thug in police custody, they were all recorded. This couldn’t have been news to Thug, but clearly that didn’t keep him from talking trash about GloRilla, Gunna, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Andre 3000 and many more.

Circling back to the “Atlanta PD leaking calls” theory… This wouldn’t be the first time the department has gotten caught up in a leaking scandal. Just last year, APD was exposed for leaking sensitive information concerning the building of “Cop City” in Atlanta, according to the Brennan Center for Justice. This on top of documented accusations against the department make them a prime suspect in the Young Thug leaking mystery — but so far, no evidence directly ties them to this madness.

Even if APD has nothing to do with the leaks, clearly, someone is out to make Thug look bad. He’s already on a 15-year probation sentence after pleading guilty to drug and gun charges connected to his RICO. And what’s more interesting is the specific phone calls coming to light all involve notable people in the music industry.

We might never know for sure who is responsible for tarnishing Thug’s reputation through these leaked conversations. But two things are for certain: The rapper still has a lot to answer for, and if more calls reach the internet, there’s no telling exactly how the fallout will affect Young Thug’s career in the long run.
