Nicki Minaj is coming for Roc Nation and sheโs not holding back. The rapper is threatening to expose the record label, specifically targeting its founder, Jay-Z and CEO Desiree Perez. Minaj alleges that Roc Nation is attempting to sabotage her marriage and manipulate her social media presence.

The controversary surrounding Minaj and Perez centers around a feud between her and Perez's daughter, Demoree Hadley. Hadley filed a lawsuit claiming the CEO orchestrated her involuntary commitment to a mental health facility in Florida.
Hadley further claimed in her lawsuit that she was institutionalized for nearly two weeks in numerous mental health facilities without legitimate cause. Minaj has since sided with Hadley, citing her own past grievances, and taking aim at Perez in several posts on X.
Some social media users, including Minaj, have pointed to a recent interview with Hadley as support for her claims against Roc Nation.
Other users believe this could be just another Minaj tirade, similar to ones the world has seen in the past. This includes X user @NickiDaaNinjaa, who is questioning whether the rapper is truly being targeted on social media platforms to the extent she claims.
TikTok user @hq_kay echoed similar sentiments, stating that Elon Musk wouldnโt go out of his way to work with Roc Nation to sabotage Minaj.
"We have to be able to start telling our favorite artists the truth," the Tiktok user said. "I know I'm going to be asking a lot out of the barbs, on this one, but I see Nicki Minaj had a few tweets, she was firing off on Elon's app."
"I don't want to do that to you Nicki, but this feels a little bit like you are full of yourself," he continued. "You think Roc Nation linked up with Jay Z to link up with Elon Musk to remove likes all because of you, feels like a bit too much. I feel like there maybe might sometimes be some truth to the battles that Nicki faces in the industry, but we're going a bit off the rails. If the team around you is not going to tell you the truth, the fans got to be able to."
Minaj has also posted several subliminal tweets, including one urging the NFL to 'fire some n****as and then call us.'
It is speculated that Minaj is targeting both the NFL and possibly Jay-Z, following Kendrick Lamar being chosen over Lil Wayne to perform at the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show in New Orleans.
