Be sure not to miss these MCs battling it out on the mic at The Root's AT&T Nation's Football Classic Rap Battle on Saturday, Sept. 10, from noon to 12:45 p.m.

MCs from both schools will go head-to-head in a 45-minute freestyle battle during the Pepsi Max Fan Festival on the AT&T Soundstage at RFK Stadium. Check out a few of the contestants:

Young Phill

Young Phill (YP) from Morehouse College is a singer, rapper, songwriter, producer, designer and men's-health research analyst at Morehouse School of Medicine. YP is adamant about giving back to the community and enjoys philanthropy work with JumpStart America. He has also developed a public health campaign entitled Health & Hip-Hop, to provide undergraduate students in the Atlanta University Center a viable source of public health knowledge.

Fuze the MC

Lance Carlton Deandre Coleman, aka Fuze the MC (born March 2, 1991), is a hip-hop artist, radio personality, philanthropist and entrepreneur. He is an audio-production major at Howard University on a full academic scholarship. He has opened for J. Cole, and his most recent project, Tell Me Something GOOD, earned him a feature in the magazine XXL in June. The project can be downloaded at his website.

Trigga Tay

Trigga Tay is part of the hip-hop group $urreal. A junior painting major from Howard University, Tay is an avid artist and poet and raps rapid-fire about his Atlanta roots. His freestyle lyrics got him all the way to B.E.T., where he beat out 100 local DMV rappers to earn a spot on 106 & Park's Freestyle Friday.

The battle will be hosted by Angie Ange of D.C.'s 93.9 WKYS and Fonzworth Bentley, and DJ Kool will spin music in the background. (The football game in RFK Stadium starts at 3:30 p.m.) The crowd will vote via text message to choose a winner. We hope to see you there!
