After seven long weeks of emotional testimony, shocking accusations and deathly stares from Sean “Diddy” Combs as he sat in his federal trial, the madness is all finally coming to an end. Prosecutors delivered their closing statement against Combs, and it shockingly lasted more than four hours.

The government described the disgraced Bad Boy founder as “the leader of a criminal enterprise” who used his status, money and power to allegedly abuse countless people. His exploitation wasn’t limited to just his romantic partners, such as Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, U.S. Attorney Christy Slavik argued on Thursday (June 26). Combs also allegedly mistreated his former employees.
“The concept is simple,” Slavik told the court. “The law recognizes that when someone commits a crime as part of a group โ what the law calls an ‘enterprise’ โ theyโre more powerful and more dangerous.” She described Combs as a king while arguing, “Itโs his kingdom. Everyone was there to serve him.”
Combs is being charged with conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution, we previously reported. Slavik urged the jury to finally hold him accountable after decades of his alleged abuse went unchecked.
The attorney also took time to describe his violence towards Cassie and another ex-girlfriend, who testified under the pseudonym Jane. Early in the trial, Cassie testified Combs forced her to commit sexual performances while beating her bloody on several occasions. She also testified he tried to have rapper Kid Cudi killed, furthering the racketeering charge against him.
Jane shared similar experiences during her testimony. After meeting Combs on a trip to Miami, she said they began dating but things quickly took a turn. She was allegedly responsible for putting together the infamous freak-offs and taking care of him after they were over, The Root reported.
Prosecutors also emphasized Combs forced Cassie and Jane into the draining, days-long sexual encounters without sleep, which qualifies as forced labor. Slavik even referenced the testimony of Mia’s, Combsโ ex-assistant, in which she allegedly sexually assaulted her on multiple occasions as she worked for him. According to Slavik, Combs had “all the power and control” over her, which Slavik said is under racketeering.
“Up until today, the defendant was able to get away with these crimes because of his money, his power, his influence,” the attorney added. “That stops now.”
Diddy’s team is expected to begin their closing arguments on Friday (June 27). Then, the government will have a chance to rebuttal. From there, the judge will toss the case completely to the jurors to deliberate. Diddy has pleaded not guilty and refused all plea deals offered. If convicted, he will likely spend the rest of his life in prison.
