On Jan. 4, the three time Grammy-winner dropped his latest song titled “Crow Bars,” which he wrote after being the victim of a home robbery. Hit-Boy dropped the record dissing the unknown assailants, who are still at large. Accompanying the announcement was a brief message about the heist.

“This morning around 4 am some idiots broke into my office / studio and went thru a hassle just to get next to nothing,” he wrote on social media. “i did a freestyle called ‘Crow Bars’ watching the footage of these low life’s going thru my shit smh. If you know these clowns tag em in the comments i got cash for you.”

He added that the thieves didn’t even make off with the most valuable items in the collection, which included jewelry and his three Grammy Awards. So just to add insult to the robbers’ injury, Hit-Boy dedicated an entire freestyle to the failed criminals.

Hit-Boy recalled getting the phone call that a group of men broke into his house late at night. They broke his laptop, and even tried to use crow bars — hence the diss track title — to break into his office. Luckily, the robbers couldn’t get inside and all of Hit-Boy’s valuables remained untouched.

“F**k you n****s looking for? I’m right here,” the music producer rapped on the track. “They brought crow bars and left with karma.” To drive home the point, Hit-Boy is also seen in the official video holding up his Grammys and wearing all of his chains. The video — which now has 46,000 views on YouTube and 1.3 million on X — could earn him money if it goes viral.

The music producer has been the victim of home invasions at least three times, he also said. And he’s not the only rap star who’s been made a target. Music producer and rapper Sonny Digital revealed his studio was robbed just one day before Hit-Boy’s. Unlikely him however, the robbers made off with much of Sonny’s recording equipment.

“S**t so crazy because I look out for everybody so much man,” he said after the incident. “Don’t worry about the materials, I’m going to get this s**t back. It’s just the principle of it, though, you know what I’m saying?”
