Natasha Rothwell acquired the rights to the popular series after an intense bidding war.

Tareasa โ€œReesa Teesaโ€ Johnsonโ€™s viral TikTok series โ€œWho TF Did I Marry?โ€ had the internet in a chokehold earlier this year. Now, it will now be a television show thanks to a popular โ€œInsecureโ€ star, Variety has reported.

Natasha Rothwellโ€™s company, Big Hattie Productions, acquired the rights to โ€œWho TF I Marry?โ€ following an intense bidding war. Rothwell will star as the main character and will also serve as executive producer alongside Johnson.

Back in February, Johnson went on the popular social media app and uploaded 50 different videos โ€” which totaled over eight hours โ€” to tell the story of the toxic relationship she shared with her ex-husband. She claimed that her ex was a pathological liar as well as a cheater.

He allegedly lied to Johnson about everything from being a San Diego State University football player (he never went to college) to needing money for his step-daughterโ€™s funeral (she was still alive). Johnson only referred to her former partner as โ€œLegion.โ€

However, her followers quickly discovered that his real name was Jerome McCoy. He ultimately denied there being any truth to Johnsonโ€™s tales. Her storytelling skills captivated audiences and led to her gaining over 3 million followers in the course of two weeks.

After the series ended, Johnson went live on TikTok and later uploaded the live stream as a 20-part series along with merchandise made by fans. She has been profiled by The Cut and PEOPLE. Johnson also appeared on talk shows like โ€œGood Morning Americaโ€ and the โ€œTamron Hall Show.โ€

โ€œIt was actually hard to do the entire series,โ€ she explained to The Cut in March. โ€œYouโ€™re putting yourself out there in a very vulnerable way.โ€

Johnson, who is based in Atlanta, signed with CAA in March.
