One guilty verdict and several lawsuits later, rapper Megan Thee Stallion is still battling Canadian singer Tory Lanez in court. But in a shocking turn of events, her legal team is now going after DJ Akademiks — a known supporter of Lanez — to get to the bottom of who is allegedly spreading lies.

As we previously told you, Megan has been on a mission to shut down all the bloggers and internet personalities, who allegedly defamed her after Lanez was convicted of shooting her in 2020. Almost a year ago, Megan sued blogger Milagro “Gramz” Cooper for defamation, cyberstalking, and emotional distress after alleging the blogger was conspiring with Lanez to spread lies about the Texas rapper.
Since the beginning, Akademiks has repeatedly spoken out in favor of Lanez and against Meg. From calling Megan out on his stream to even sharing sealed DNA results from the gun used in the shooting, it’s very clear exactly which side the New Jersey personality stands on. Megan has been letting Akademiks get away from speaking on her case against Lanez, but now, she wants him to testify,
Akademiks sat down with Megan’s lawyers back in August, the New York Post reported. During this time, he reportedly moved to protect the sources he said gave him information that Lanez was innocent, despite the “Say It” artist being convicted and serving a 10-year sentence in prison. But if Akademiks is bold enough to share legal information online, then Meg’s lawyers said he should take the stand, according to a Sept. 16 court filing.
Meanwhile, Gramz was accused of being “compensated thousands of dollars to post fallacious information about Megan” online and has been “consciously coordinating” with Lanez, according to Megan’s defamation suit against her. If a judge calls Akademiks to testify, the Houston native hopes she can get to the bottom of who exactly gave both Akademiks and Gramz the sealed court report with DNA results from the gun.
Earlier this year, a judge ruled to allow Megan’s attorneys to interview Lanez under oath, according to the Daily Mail, as they continue to investigate Meg’s cyberbullying claims. Akademiks reportedly said he would “never reveal” his source unless it’s “under a court order.”
That was last month. Now, we’ll have to wait to see how a judge will rule on this matter.
