Conservative podcaster Candace Owens is known for her divisive political views and often incendiary remarks. But it seems after the assassination of her good friend and fellow conservative Charlie Kirk, she’s prepared to speak her mind no matter the cost — and it looks like she’s breaking away from the base that made her famous.

Over the past few months, Owens has slowly but surely began steering away from her far-right allies. We previously reported the 36-year-old podcaster finally admitted she was wrong about President Donald Trump, calling him “a chronic disappointment” after his alliance with Israel. Now, she claims Israel also had something to do with Kirk’s death.
“The Feds like to play games,” she began during a recent episode of her podcast. According to her, the government is hiding the truth about Tyler Robinson, the man accused of killing Kirk.
“Now we are more broadly considering how stupid the Feds think we are,” Owens said, going on to accuse the Israeli government of allegedly trying to bribe Kirk before his death then allegedly orchestrating his murder.
Owens is known for spewing conspiracy theories, but this one has folks online talking. “I don’t believe the FBI. But I know damn well that this wasn’t a lone wolf operation,” @thefederalistv tweeted in response to Owens’ claiming Kirk’s death is a “federal conspiracy.”
@ParaAbnormalish added, “I don’t need her to tell me. I figured it out pretty quickly based on the discrepancies and the multiple videos.” According to current reports from the government, investigators believe the accused gunman acted alone in Kirk’s public murder. Robinson is a 22-year-old from Utah raised by Republicans.
Still, some folks who usually don’t agree with Owens like @imnohigherpower said she may have a point. “It must be cold in hell this week because I actually find myself interested in what Candace has to say (only on this particular topic though),” she said on X.
“Prob only good thing shes said in a long while,” @ClappinBiscuits added.
Owens argued Kirk’s death was in retaliation to him speaking on controversial topics, like the unreleased Epstein files. “I will catch more lawsuits to get the truth out about Charlie Kirk if I have to,” Owens continued on her podcast.
In response, many in MAGA are ripping her to shreds online. “Candace Owens is Satan’s agent in his attempt to take down the surge of G-dliness that has coalesced around Charlie’s memory,” @InADonkeysAge tweeted. “This is absolutely Biblical.”
Her dissent marks yet another shift in the MAGA waters. Owens, a once fierce ally of the president, is becoming one of his biggest critics. And now, many online say this could mean the beginning of the end.
“They’re eating their own,” @queenblerd said of Owens’ turning on MAGA.
@jamie_breathnach wrote on Instagram, “I love her… But I’m very scared for her.” As Owens continues to distance herself from Trump and MAGA, the question remains which side will she ultimately fall on. In the meantime, we can expect Owens to continue speaking out on what she calls justice for Kirk.
