It wasn’t just the basketballs flying during Friday (July 25) night’s WNBA game between the Golden State Valkyries and the Atlanta Dream. In a shocking turn of events, an actual sex toy was hurled onto the court, leaving fans and players in shock.

There was one minute left in the fourth quarter when suddenly a bright, neon green object was spotted flying across the screen and onto the court. At first, the officials allowed the game to continue, but refs eventually halted the game only to find that the unidentified flying object…was a dildo.
“No room for any of that type of activity,” the commentator can be heard saying. “Oh my gosh – okay. Inappropriate, get them out of here, whoever it is,” she urged.
When Golden State Valkyries’ Tiffany Hayes and Cecilia Zandalasini were asked if they knew what it was, they both gave a cheeky response, holding back giggles. However, Zandalasini admitted “It was super dangerous.”
“And then when we found out what it was, I guess we just started laughing. I’ve never seen anything like that. I’m just glad we worked through that situation. We stayed locked in, we stayed concentrated,” the athlete added.
While the commentator couldn’t stand the sight of it, the clip was being shared on social media millions of times. Many fans got a major kick out of the chaos, but others felt the joke was tasteless and downright inappropriate. “Bro that fan gotta get banned for life for that,” one fan wrote in a clip of the incident that received 3.8 million views in less than 24 hours.
“That’s really not funny man, that’s very sexist and to disrespect women is awful and the person that did that is a horrible human being. Not funny at all,” a second added in a serious tone. “WNBA turning into freakoffs mid game,” a third laughed.
