How A Black Woman Said This and Got 1 million Tiktok Followers And Started a Hilarious Movement

Melani Sanders is here to let the world know that women dealing with perimenopause and menopause have zero Fs left to give.

Melani Sanders is a wife, a mother and a Black woman in the middle of perimenopause – the transitional period before menopause which can trigger symptoms such as weight gain, mood changes and sleep problems, according to the Mayo Clinic. One day, when it had all become too much, Sanders decided to record herself talking about her feelings while sitting in her car in a Whole Foods parking lot.

The 45-year-old had no idea her video would go viral and that her online release would become a movement. But before she knew it, Sanders had over one million followers on TikTok. These card-carrying members of the We Do Not Care Club come to her page to hear her read a list of the latest things the members have decided they simply do not care about – otherwise known as the "announcements."  From keeping the house spotless to shaving their legs, Sanders is putting people on notice that these ladies have zero Fs left to give, and she serves it all up with no makeup, no filters and no fancy clothes, just a bonnet, three pairs of glasses (in case she loses one), and plenty of real talk.

But besides all of the funny stuff, Sanders wants people who watch her content to know that what they are going through is neither weird nor unique and that her club is a safe and accepting space.

"We are in transition and we deserve compassion for that. That's when we do not care became a phrase," she said in a post. "It became a place where women going through this change could laugh, cry, scream or sit quietly and still belong."

Here are some of the best and funniest announcements from the We Do Not Care Club. If you know a member, consider yourself warned.

Once The Bra Comes Off, Forget About It

Sanders warns others not to ask WDNC members to leave home once they're settled in and comfortable. Because when the bra comes off, they're not leaving the house unless there's a fire.

And if you live with a WDNC club member, don't even think about telling them that you're out of milk, bread or butter. Because you knew damn well that there was no milk, bread or butter when you left home and if it was that important to you, you would have found a way to pick it up.

"Everybody else in this house drove past the same store," she read. "Don't ask us why we didn't get it. Ask yourself why you didn't get it."

You Have No Idea What it's Like to Be Tired

WDNC club members with teens know that trying to get their kids to do anything, especially in the summer months, is challenging. But Sanders is putting teens on notice – being tired isn't an excuse to be lazy.

"We do not care how tired you are. We've been tired since you were born," she said.

We're Not Cleaning for Company

Gone are the days of stressing out to get the house cleaned up for company. Once you become an official WDNC club member, your guests get what they get – dust, dirty dishes and all. And if you don't like it, you don't have to bother coming back.

"We do not care if the house is not clean when you come over," she said. "Also, don't come over."

It We Can't See It, We Ain't Cleaning It

If you spend time on social media watching cleaning videos, you'll convince yourself that you live in a pig sty. But Melani says the WDNC club lives by a simple rule: If we can't see it, we ain't cleaning it.

"We do not care how long it’s been since we pulled out the stove and refrigerator to clean behind them. We do not use behind them," she said.

God Got These Clothes

Sanders' post about cleaning got over 32,000 comments, including one from a member who had lots of feelings about laundry. Separating whites, colors and delicates is a chore the WDNC club members are tired of dealing with. They've decided they're throwing everything in the washing machine together and leaving it up to God.

"We do not care if the tag says wash cold on gentle cycle, it’s getting washed how it’s getting washed. It’s in the Lords hands now," wrote a member in the comments.

"Yess!! God got these clothes. AND don’t question him💕😂 Luv you Sis😂," she replied.

Forget The Foreplay

If you're romantically involved with a member of the WDNC club, don't waste time trying to get them in the mood. As a matter of fact, they'd much rather you get right to the point and let them get their rest.

"We do not care if it takes three minutes," she said. "In fact, let's go for two and a half."

And don't even think about trying to be affectionate to get your way, because these ladies are not having it.

"We do not care about your surprise back rub. If you have a motive or expect anything in return, we can rub our own damn back," she adds.

She's Not Alone

Some of the funniest announcements from the We Do Not Care Club come from the comments, like this post, in which one member shared that she could care less about matching the polish on her fingers and toes.

"We do not care if our toenail color matches our fingernail color. The toe colors stays til it comes off. I can't reach like I use to," they they wrote on TikTok.
