DaBaby Speaks on Claims He Scammed YouTuber Out of $20K

The 'Blame It On Baby' rapper took to social media to clear the air -- and his name -- on Monday.

Things donโ€™t look too good when it comes to the working relationship between rapper DaBaby and popular YouTuber Lah Mike. Iโ€™ll explain.

Lah Mike, most notably known for his 20 women vs. 1 celebrity dating videos, recently made claims that the โ€œBopโ€ rapper ran off with $20,000 without completing a full a episode. In a post to Instagram on Monday, La Mike aired out Da Baby telling his fans and followers what allegedly happened but ultimately pleading with the rapper to come back and finish filming.

โ€œ@dababy ran off with $20K I paid him for a video. I did everything I was supposed to do please donโ€™t scam me bro this is my livelihood. This was supposed to be my blow up video. My way out. How Iโ€™m posed to make it out if I lose all my videos?? โ€œ he wrote.

He continued:

โ€œIโ€™m 19 bru please God why does everything have to go bad. I donโ€™t even have a full video. I spent my last on that & this happens?? Why me God what did I do? @dababy please donโ€™t run off wit my bag please. Iโ€™ll fix whatever you need bro that was my last. This my dream. I was working towards this just for it to be taken away from me again. Please come finish the video. Please donโ€™t scam me bro. I support u bro please donโ€™t fuck over me bro I play all your music. What yโ€™all think I should do?โ€

However, it doesnโ€™t look like Lah Mikeโ€™s version of events told the whole truth. Not too long after his video, the โ€œSugeโ€ rapper posted his own since-deleted video explaining how he did walk off in an attempt to keep his temper in check. In a video posted by Lah Mike, you can see the rapper leaving somewhat frustrated by the actions of some of the folks on set of the video.

โ€œI ainโ€™t run off n***a, I walked off,โ€ DaBaby said. โ€œYou know why too n***a. Be glad thatโ€™s the way it went & tighten up.โ€

He went on to speak his peace, calling the social media star โ€œa sick little dudeโ€ for implying that half of the money he gave to DaBaby came from his great-grandmother whoโ€™s allegedly currently battling cancer. He also put forth his own resolve to the situation, sharing that he would be splitting the money between the 20 women who were a part of the show.

โ€œPeople probably believe in this twenty-versus-one shit, like this shit is for real, like you donโ€™t be paying these girls to do this. You got people playing with my name, like I came and just robbed you,โ€ he said in the video, per HipHopDX.

โ€œCheck this, this what we gonna doโ€”Iโ€™m gonna take the $20,000 that you gave me for my time, for that hour plus I spent in there. And Iโ€™m gonna give $1,000 a piece to them 20 girls that you paid to let a lame nigga like you disrespect them, for that little YouTube check.โ€

โ€œSo yeah, thatโ€™s what we gonโ€™ do. That $20,000 you gave me, Iโ€™mma give it to them girls. Them queens. โ€˜Cause they donโ€™t need to be having no lame ass n***a like you play with them no way.โ€
