She is under doctor’s orders to rest her vocal cords, she announced in a tweet on Friday. She was to perform in the cities on Saturday and Sunday as part of her first tour since 2011.

Unbreakable is her 11th album and her seventh to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. The 49-year-old pop sensation and five-time Grammy Award winner kicked off her 67-show Unbreakable World Tour in Vancouver in September, performing before a near-capacity crowd at Rogers Arena.

No word on when she plans to perform in Salt Lake City and Denver, but her fans tweeted support for her recovery. Some supporters even lashed out at tour booker Live Nation, accusing the company of overbooking the star.
