“I swear some people don’t need kids,” he expressed with frustration. “You got this precious little girl out here walking by herself,” he added, panning the camera to a young Black girl in pig-tail puffs and a brown jacket. “I would have felt so bad if she ended up on the news.”

When Threatt arrived at the girl’s school, Thirkell Elementary, the little girl broke down in tears, leaving him overwhelmed with emotion. “She’s probably scared,” he told the staff. “So many people just pulled up on that little girl. I’m so happy I seen her.”

In the background, a woman can be heard saying, “God is gonna bless you too,” thanking him for getting the child to school safely.

Fans showed a similar level of concern in the comments section. From blessing him for his good deed to wondering how this could happen, many expressed shock, frustration, and a deep worry for the little girl’s safety.

“Stop, he’s crying. I hope this man gets everything he needs and deserves in life,” one fan praised.

“With so many creeps tricking kids into their cars, this man was conscious enough to not ask her to get in his car and chose to walk with her instead in cold weather. Bless his good heart,” a second commended.

“The fact that he couldn’t even pick her up is the world that we live in. So sad. Thank you sir!” another fan wrote.

“It was smart of him to go live,” a fourth asserted.

Detroit police have confirmed the child is safe and say they are actively investigating the situation, per CBS News.
