Ever since Halle Bailey broke the internet on January 6, 2024, officially announcing the birth of her son, Halo, with her boyfriend DDG, she’s been sharing beautiful baby moments, which fans love.

On the hand, fans have not loved Bailey’s recent Snapchat content, which she has filled with behind-the-scene moments during photoshoots, red carpets, and other major events she attended during her pregnancy.
Remember, we were not sure Bailey was pregnant for months. Yes, we all speculated but we really didn’t know. Now, the star has revealed photos not only of her with a baby bump, but also how she hid her pregnancy with photoshopped pictures and sometimes even going semi-undercover.
However, this hasn’t gone over well with some of her fans, who feel hoodwinked, deceived and mislead by the star.
The reason fans online say they are feeling gaslit by “The Little Mermaid” star ... is because she spent much of last year avoiding any questions about a possible pregnancy. Despite her body changing over the months, including the infamous “pregnancy nose” that she went off on fans about, the star acted like we couldn’t tell what was going on.
Unfortunately, now Bailey’s created an environment where she’s constantly on the defense because people are spamming her social media, saying that they don’t care about the pregnancy recap or other information about her family moving forward.
Fans say they feel used by DDG and Bailey and believe hiding the pregnancy was the couple’s way of building clout and anticipation.
But that’s not stopping the new parents. Not only are they flooding their accounts with updates about the baby, they’ve also created an Instagram account for their beautiful son, blurring his face while teasing the fans with a possible face reveal.
If you haven’t been following DDG for years online, then you don’t know that his YouTube career consists of clickbaity vlogs, mastering the art of constantly tricking his viewers. “The Color Purple” star simply followed her boyfriend’s old tactics.
However, given this boisterous reaction from fans, was the new mommy possibly correct in protecting her peace last year? It’s possible that her fans would’ve been just as angry, nosey, and stressed if she announced the pregnancy earlier.
