Prince Harry and Meghan Markle hosted the March 21 event β a partnership between their non-profit organization The Archwell Foundation and The Bernard and Shirley Kinsey Foundation, which helps educate underserved youth and increase public awareness about African American history.
Among the high-profile guests in attendance was Selma actor David Oyelowo. But it was BeyoncΓ©βs mom Tina Knowles, who got big smiles from Markleβs mom, Doria Ragland.
Knowlesβ appearance is the latest example of love the Sussexes and the Carters have shown each other over the years. In 2019, BeyoncΓ© and Jay-Z showed their appreciation in an Instagram post after receiving the Brit Award for Best International Group.
βThank you so much to the Brit Awards for this incredible honor. You guys have always been so supportive. Everything is love. Thank you,β BeyoncΓ© said standing in front of a picture of the Duchess in a crown.
And who could forget the viral moment Meghan, her mom and Harry showed up in silver to support Queen Bey on her Renaissance World Tour at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles last September.
The royals danced to βLove On Topβ from their box while celebrating Raglandβs birthday. If you blink, you can even see Harry getting it in in the video.
And like most fans, one night of BeyoncΓ© just wasnβt enough. Meghan and her mom came back for another show β this time, without Prince Harry.
According to a press release, guests joined the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on March 21 at Sofi Stadium at Hollywood Park on a private tour of the Kinsey Collection β one of the largest and most comprehensive private collections of African American art and historical relics in the world β followed by a conversation on βthe history and significance of Black art and how our communities can work together to preserve this vital piece of American historyβ led by Bernard, Shirley and Khalil Kinsey.
