On Saturday, the “Tonight, I Celebrate My Love” singer suffered a mild heart attack at his Georgia home. According to TMZ, he’s listed in stable condition and is awake and responsive.

“Both his medical team and family are optimistic for a speedy recovery,” his rep released in a statement. “At this time, privacy is requested; however, the thoughts and prayers of friends and fans are welcomed and appreciated.”

Over the course of a career that’s spanned more than three decades, Bryson has won two Grammys, one in 1992 for his performance of “Beauty and the Beast” with Celine Dion, and a second for his 1993 duet, “A Whole New World,” with Regina Bell.

After an 11 year hiatus, the 68-year-old balladeer recently released his 21st studio album, Stand for Love, in December.

We wish the R&B legend a speedy recovery and will keep him and his family in our thoughts and prayers.
