Governor wants FAMU president suspended: Florida Gov. Rick Scott said Thursday he wants Florida A&M University President James Ammons suspended amid multiple investigations spurred by the death of a drum major in a suspected case of hazing. Scott said he doesn't have any evidence that Ammons did anything wrong but thinks a suspension is warranted, the Washington Post reports.

Black clergy, athletes and entertainers to "Occupy the Dream": "I think it's appropriate for the black church, the black community and the civil rights family to join hand in hand with what 'Occupy' is doing," said the Rev. Jamal Harrison-Bryant, leader of the newly formed Occupy the Dream, a collection of more than 1,000 concerned African-American clergy, business owners, entertainers and professional athletes.
