The Google Generation Scholarship is a $10,000-a-year scholarship that is available to aspiring computer scientists planning to attend a four-year college and interested in studying computer science, computer engineering, software engineering or any related field.

Many children of color are interested in these fields, but the lack of college affordability prevents many from even applying to a school. Applicants must have a strong academic record and demonstrate financial need to qualify.

Apply for the scholarship here.ย The deadline is Feb. 20, 2012.
