Police Officer Paul Rogerson pulled over a car that had soul singer Gladys Knight as a passenger. The officer stopped the car in a town about 40 miles from Salt Lake City because the driver was speeding.

Apparently the driver was speeding to get Knight to a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for a speaking event. Knight informed Rogerson who she was, and Rogerson and his wife, who was riding along with him, told Knight they were huge fans.

The cop let Knight’s driver go with a warning, but before that, Knight got out of the car and sang “Happy Birthday” to him.

That probably will be the officer’s most memorable birthday gift ever.
