When you’re in the NBA, meeting women isn’t exactly hard to do– just ask former player Gilbert Arenas. In a new sit down with podcaster N3on, the former Washington Wizards’ guard shared some not-so-secret secrets about the lives of some professional players and the internet has some thoughts.

“When the NBA season starts, that’s where all the bad habits are,” he said. “Now I’m flying to Miami, now I’m flying to Atlanta, now I’m flying to Los Angeles, New York, Houston, coming in at 2 -3 in the morning.”
Arenas told the host that when they’re playing games away from home, athletes use their down time to kick it– something he says their wives and girlfriends would never allow during the off season.
“We are partying and drinking and partying and drinking in damn near every city we go, different girls every city we go,” he added. “We’re partying during the season on our work schedule. In the summer, we ain’t doing none of that ‘cause our girlfriends and our families are here.”
Things got even cringier when Arenas, who has been married to Melli Monaco since January, told his young host that one of his favorite past times was posting up at a mall outside of a high-end store like Louis Vuitton to attract women.
“You don’t even really have to buy nothing, just have the bag,” he said.
While Arena’s comments may have you clutching your pearls, many who watched the interview were not surprised.
“He’s basically telling Neon that the Sun is hot, and water is wet,” wrote someone on X
Others in the comments agreed, adding that other players probably have a similar story to tell.
“This episode finna expose half the league,” wrote someone else on X.
Still others weren’t feeling the idea of him telling a teen how to cheat.
“It’s so cringy for the married 43 year old man to act like he’s still gettin game behind his wife’s back with the sh*t he says just to hype up this clown bruh,”wrote someone else on YouTube.
