Gayle King is sharing her thoughts on Megan Thee Stallion amid social reactions to the rapper’s recent admission to lying to about sleeping with Tory Lanez.
The shocking revelation came out in Megan’s recently released Prime Video documentary, “Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words.” In it, the Houston rapper admitted to lying to King about having sexual relations with Lanez during their interview on CBS Mornings back in 2022. For what it’s worth, the “Mamushi” rapper admitted she lied to King in 2023 when the trial against Lanez was going down as noted in court documents. But not everyone had access to those in the same way they did with this new documentary.

And while some folks online dragged the “Hot Girl Summer” rapper for doing so and others dragged King for asking in the first place, it doesn’t look like the veteran journalist is too bothered by the surprising admission.
In a brief interview with TMZ on Tuesday, King was asked how she felt now having learned she was being lied to by Megan and her answer will more than likely shock you.
“It was the first time she was telling her story and it bothered me that so many people didn’t believe her story,’’ King said. “That bothered me. So I wanted to get [it] from her firsthand.”
King said why the lie is really on her, “But listen, I still am nuts about her. I think she’s been through a lot and I can’t wait to see her documentary. She was under the gun, I thought, and undeservedly so. I have no controversy with Megan.’’
King echoed similar sentiments in the days leading up to election day when she shared that she had “nothing but great, great love and respect for Megan Thee Stallion” and that she would be “cheering her on always.”
Though King had a message of support for Megan, folks online still don’t seem too willing to let the “Ungrateful” rapper off the hook any time soon.
“Megan is so dismissive about this when she’s the one that lied about fcking her BEST FRIENDS man behind her back. Then she allowed the internet to bully Kelsey instead of taking accountability and telling everyone that the argument & shooting happened bc she got caught,” wrote one user on X/Twitter.
“Megan need to sit n be quiet..talking about ppl wanting to re write her truth U lied to ur bf about not fking Tory n put that on ur dead muva only to be honest when the truth u across the face U slept with ur bff n smile to her face like it’s nothing Always drunk n horny,” said another.
“Megan thee Stallion all the accounts you’re coming for haven’t told ONE LIE… GOD already going to get you.. this a big mistake liar I wouldn’t dare if I were you.. the only people left liking you is the bots &’ your ROC NATION team . Honey they gassing you hard! #FreeTory,” another said.
