Whether its Megan Thee Stallion and Klay Thompson getting all cute on our timelines or Teyana Taylor and Aaron Pierre serving serious couple goals aesthetics, it’s clear to us that summer 2025 is for the lovers!

Seemingly long gone are the days of Black girls being kept in secret to the point that nobody knows they exist. N0! Based on these celeb couples, it’s looking more and more like love for Black women is taking centerstage and honestly, it’s about damn time!
So it’s in that vein, we’re highlighting some of those women and their beautiful relationships and love stories. At the very least, we hope it encourages some of you out there that being loved in public to the most heartwarming degree is possible and attainable.

As evidenced by a stunning photo spread from GQ Magazine released on Thursday, sports journalist Taylor Rooks dropped a bomb on the social media streets when she published photos of her wedding on the internet. A true vision in white, Rooks and her husband Shane Fowler had many reeling over how beautiful she looked and how secretive she kept her relationship.
But now that the cat’s out the bag, we can probably anticipate them being a bit more open about their marriage soon. Like Kendrick Lamar once said, “Sometimes you gotta pop out and show…” folks that there’s somebody in your life that don’t play about you and this gorgeous wedding spread is proof of just that!
Megan Thee Stallion & Klay Thompson
Megan Thee Stallion and Klay Thompson may be names that seem like they wouldn’t go together on the surface, but as we can see from their joint videos–the two are clearly a match made in heaven. Whether they’re working out together, stunting on a red carpet, or out playing golf– seeing thee Hot Girl Coach turn into thee Hot Girlfriend is a fun departure from the norm. Yes to all the girlies falling in love!
Coco Jones & Donovan Mitchell
A rather new development, singer Coco Jones shocked the internet when she posted a picture of her kissing her fiancé, NBA star Donovan Mitchell while casually showing off her engagement ring on July 11. While not much is known about their relationship, we did find out that Russell Wilson and Ciara played a part in Mitchell’s beautiful proposal, which only give us more faith that the two of them will work out very well!
Normani & DK Metcalf
You already know that if Ciara and Russell are behind it, then the couple just might be headed for the long haul. And that’s exactly what we’re expecting for singer Normani and her NFL fiancé DK Metcalf. Based on that and how the two talk to and about each other, and how they never hesitate to show each other affection– this couple is one we can’t wait to see walk down the aisle!

Though they didn’t win and got voted off (much to the disdain of their devoted fanbase), their cutesy moments on the show and continued lovey-doveyness have made their love story the talk of the timelines. We really do love to see it!

There’s arguably no sexier couple out there like Teyana Taylor and Aaron Pierre right now. But every glimpse we see of them out together, whether it be on their Instagram or in music videos, just makes us make want to get loved out loud just like them!

We were all shocked– in a good way– when we saw that rapper Joey Badass and Serayah were boo’d up. But we went all the way up when it was revealed that the two were engaged on Monday, just two months after she gave birth to their baby boy. Impending marital bliss after welcoming a new bundle of joy? That’s the epitome of a good life!
Kash Doll & Za’Darius Smith
Kash Doll and her new man Za’Darius Smith have been spotted out together on more than one occasion over the past several months. And every time they are, we’re amazed at just how comfortable and happy the “Doing Too Much” rapper seems to be. Whether she’s ditching makeup or wearing her natural hair out, it’s nice to see a Black woman get loved for all parts of who she is!

Though Venus Williams may have let it slip that her “fiancé” was there to support her during a recent post-match interview earlier this week, it’s clear she’s ready to boast about her new boo! The championship tennis star got engaged to actor Andrea Preti, with whom she was first romantically linked to in July 2024. Folks had their suspicions that things between them had went to the next level in February 2025, when Williams was spotted in Rome sporting a big diamond ring. Now that we’ve gotten official confirmation, we suspect the two will be out on the town arms linked even the more!
