The Detroit News is reporting that the daughters of the late Renaldo "Obie" Benson have filed suit against the only surviving member of The Four Tops, one of Motown's most iconic soul groups. The Four Tops stayed together for more than 40 years, but the heirs of Benson, Tobi Walker and Eboni Benson have managed to inject conflict. The heirs have filed suit in Wayne County Circuit Court this week, claiming that Abdul "Duke" Fakir has failed to account for money owed to the Four Tops LLC. Abdul "Duke" Fakir, who is one of the group's founding members, is accused of failing to collect revenues and royalties due to the Four Tops LLC. Walker and Benson are seeking $25,000, dissolution of the company and removal of Fakir as manager. Wow, all of this over $25,000. Perhaps Fakir, who is 75, could use some help from the heirs instead of lawsuits.
