Former Scandal star Columbus short was arrest Friday in Dallas, Texas on charges of public intoxication, People magazine reports.

The beleaguered 31-year-old star was reportedly arrested after allegedly fighting with security at Katy Trail Ice House, a local bar, an employee told People. The establishment uses off-duty police officers to work security detail at the bar and Short reportedly had an issue with them about 2 a.m. Saturday, the magazine reports.

“He was uncooperative with police," the employee told People. “It was a minor issue. He was verbally assaulting the police.”

Short's lawyer and manager were not immediately available for comment, the celebrity magazine reports..

The arrest was the second time in recent months for the star, who announced in April that he would not be returning for the fourth season of ABC’s hit show, Scandal. He pleaded not guilty to felony battery in May on charges involving an altercation at a Los Angeles restaurant.

Entertainment Weekly reports that he is being sued for $1 million by the victim, who charges that he was  knocked unconscious by an "unwarranted and cowardly 'sucker punch.’ “

Short also faces a spousal battery case stemming from his estranged wife's claims that he threatened to kill her in April, the report says.
