“Real Housewives of Potomac” alum, Mia Thornton, was reportedly wearing some shiny bracelets — and we’re not talking Cartier. These were actually courtesy of the local police department, and the charges are insane. Don’t worry, we will fill you in.

On Nov. 19, Mia Thornton, 40, was picked up by Atlanta police at the Atlanta-Hartsfield and was transferred to Fulton County Jail “without incident,” according to the Atlanta Police Department. Authorities confirmed she had an active warrant tied to an alleged larceny case involving stolen furniture.
According to the police report, the property management company for the furnished Atlanta condo rented by Thornton and a man named Jared McGriff claims the two moved out on Oct. 28 without notice. Thornton and McGriff allegedly took all the furniture in the furnished condo, along with the television, bringing the total value to $11,000.
In April, Thornton announced that she will be departing from “Real Housewives of Potomac” after being a cast member for four seasons, revealing that she and her family will be relocating to Atlanta.
“This next chapter is already full of exciting opportunities,” she shared in an Instagram post, “and I can’t wait to take you all along for the ride,” Thornton wrote of her “new beginning.” She thanked Andy Cohen and Bravo for giving her a platform to tell her story and also expressed appreciation to her castmates and fans.
But after news of her arrest broke, social media didn’t hold back in sharing their thoughts.
“The Potomac to prison pipeline is long and strong.” one Threads user wrote.
Some even called her out for laughing at her fellow castmate, Wendy Osefo, and husband, Eddie, who was indicted on fraud charges after falsely reporting a burglary.
One X user posted, “This is a great example of when karma goes around it will come back with a lightning force and boomerang right back at ya. I love this for Mia.”
Another wrote:
One X user summed it up best, saying, “Mia stole furniture? These so-called housewives are broke AF. Stop looking up to them. Many of us are living ‘better’ than them. I know I am.”
Well, at least her mugshot looked good.
