Florida Rapper Dies After Getting Bit by Police Dog, but His Manager Tells a More Horrific Story…

After a violent incident involving Newage Jerkboy and a police K-9, he was put in a coma before he ultimately died.

The investigation into exactly what led a Florida rapper to his untimely death is still underway, but according to his music manager, it all could’ve been prevented. Now, he’s speaking up on behalf of Newage Jerkboy after a violent interaction with police ended with his death.

Stories aren’t quite matching up between the 29-year-old rapper’s manager and Broward officials still investigating the matter. It all started when police responded to a shooting in progress involving Jerkboy, whose real name is Cornelius Better. Although details surrounding the altercation haven’t been released to the public, Better’s manager gave his account on what went down.

According to him, the cops were called because an unnamed assailant started shooting at Better in Fort Lauderdale. But instead of assisting Better, the alleged victim, a brief shootout between authorities and the rapper soon broke out.

There’s no evidence to suggest Better was actually shot by Broward police, leading to his death. Instead, his manager said a police K-9 torn into the rapper’s leg. “If you don’t go to the hospital and get that sh*t cleaned, that sh*t got infected,” he told the “Tippie Toe Podcast” in an interview.

Proper protocol requires victims to be taken to the hospital, no matter how minor or severe the K-9 bite is. But Better’s manager claimed that never happened. When asked why he believes officials didn’t immediately take him to a hospital in time, the manager responded, “They know they f****d up. They know they was wrong.”

The manager continued saying once Better was finally brought to the hospital, he was in a coma for two days before he died from his injuries. “They bit him around his thigh. That s**t went up his organs, and his organs failed,” he said.

Better rose to fame around 2017 when he wore a wedding dress in his video for “Married to the Game.” The music video has over one million views on YouTube.

Fans online flooded social media to express their sympathies and also call out law enforcement, demanding answers to the managers claims. “Of course police was neglectful in this situation. NewAge Jerkboy’s family better sue the city, police, and estate of specific cops on duty,” @VictorMarioux wrote.

Other folks called out police for alleged racism. “I swear K-9 units are so racist bruh they actually train dogs to bite niggas,” @GasMan_ said. “RIP man what a f****d up way to go out,” @l0c4lf10ridaman added.
