Ok, so we know Cardi B is a rapper, mom, and fashion icon. But in case you don’t follow her as closely as we do, she’s also a really good time, especially in the kitchen. She’ll be the first to admit that she doesn’t spend a whole lot of time cooking these days.

“I only cook for two occasions, when I have friends over and family over, or when I wanna cook for my man,” she said in a YouTube clip.
But when she does share clips of herself cooking for her friends and family, we have to watch as she brings her personality, sense of humor, and, of course, amazing sense of style to every dish she makes. That got us thinking that Cardi B would be the perfect host of a cooking show, showing off her favorite recipes, discovering delicious new meals, and hopefully, bringing in some special guest chefs. Are you listening, Food Network?
Here are five reasons we think Cardi B needs her own cooking show…immediately.
She’s Always Going to Dress to Impress
Cardi is known for shutting down red carpets with show-stopping looks at award shows and fashion shows all over the world, and we have no doubt that she would be just as stylish on her cooking show – no frumpy aprons here!
In 2023, Cardi gave us a preview of what her cooking show could look like, as she showed off her skills in the kitchen in a promo video for Knorr seasonings. The rapper showed off the ingredients she used to prepare her “Marry Me Chicken” dish, including chicken breasts, flour and heavy cream, but we couldn’t get over how amazing she looked in the clip with a gorgeous green dress and nails.
Oh, and did we mention she was coordinating with the plate she served the food on? People in the comments took notice too.
“Omg them nails 🤣🤣🤣 thought they were jalapeños 😅,” someone wrote on TikTok.
She Really Enjoys Her Food
Don’t let the mani fool you, ya girl is not about to let her nails stop her from throwing down in the kitchen. In fact, her perfectly polished tips make the videos she shares even more fun to watch. We love this cute clip of Cardi talking about her love for salt fish, heavily salted and dried fish that is popular Caribbean cuisine.
The “Bodak Yellow” rapper manhandles a piece of smoked fish that she seasoned up with salt and lemon – ingredients she says transforms anything from the sea into a delicious delicacy.
“You taste good,” she hilariously said to the fish as she devoured it.
She’s Always Up for a Challenge
With over 28 million followers on TikTok, Cardi B always knows what’s hot on social media, and she’s always up for a challenge…something we think would make for a fun segment on her fictional cooking show that we are definitely trying to manifest.
In this clip, Cardi is trying a viral spicy bowl challenge, making a concoction of spicy sausage, eggs, peppers and pickles for then-partner Offset. Our face was burning just watching her add all of the spicy ingredients. The couple’s daughter Kulture knew her daddy, who happily volunteered to taste the finished product, was probably going to need a little help.
“Let me get him water,” she said while running to the rescue.
She’s Funny ASL
No matter how good the food is, the thing makes a good cooking show great is a fabulous host, and it doesn’t get more fabulous than Cardi B. In this clip, she shows off her blending and chopping skills in the kitchen, making a Cardirita (her take on a traditional frozen margarita) and a corn street style dip for a segment with Vogue.
You can tell that Cardi is genuinely having a good time, even if she did get a little help with the chopping through the magic of editing.
“The difference between a Cardirita and a margarita is that, you know, I did it,” she laughs in the video.
People in the comments had just as much watching as we did.
Cardi’s personality is everything,” someone wrote on YouTube.
She Has an Adorable Sous Chef
If Cardi had a cooking show, you know she’d find a way to get her kids involved, especially her 7-year-old daughter Kulture, who often appears in her cooking posts on social media. We love this clip of the two showing off a Fruity Pebbles tres leches cake they made together. We don’t know anything about how it tastes, but judging by Kulture’s adorable mile-wide grin, they had lots of fun baking.
“Omg having cardi as a momma would be so fun,” wrote someone in the comments.
We couldn’t agree more.
