The Dangers of Trump’s Close Relationship With Tech Billionaires

Let’s take a closer look at what may come in the future, according to experts who are seemingly watching all the red flags unfold.

Crisis Worse Than a Recession

Ray Dalio, founder of Bridgewater Associates, predicted a potential change in monetary order due to the U.S.’s reported $34 trillion debt. He also called out “profound changes” in the domestic and world order that could change life as we know it today. “How that’s handled can produce something that is much worse than a recession,” he warned.

Unemployment Headed Back to Covid-19 Levels

Economists say the job market’s about to take a major hit. By June 2026, unemployment is expected to climb to 4.6 percent, up from today’s 4.2 percent, according to Bankrate’s Second-Quarter Economic Indicator Poll. That would be the highest rate since September 2021, when the U.S. was still crawling out of Covid chaos. And outside of that pandemic-induced slump, we haven’t seen numbers this high since 2017.

Rapidly Shifting Global Order

As more countries—especially BRICS nations—move to ditch the dollar, America’s financial dominance may begin to falter. According to this expert, if the American dollar loses its reserve status, we could end up more like a “France or Germany,” leading to higher interest rates, inflation, and loss of global influence.

America’s Police State

Geopolitical analyst Shahid Bolsen predicts that the harsh tactics used by ICE won’t stop at immigrants. According to Bolsen, “Data, surveillance, AI powered raids, indefinite detention centers, the elimination of due process, the criminalization of entire populations” are tactics that may be weaponized against Americans in the future. “It’s about who’s in line next time when the migrants are not enough to satisfy the profit potential of their model,” he urged.

Financial Collapse and Poverty

Financial literacy expert Robert Kiyosaki predicts that “America is gonna be the poorest country in the world, starting now.” The “Rich Dad Poor Dad” author compared the state of the U.S. to the slums of Mumbai, explaining that “Today, the slums [of Mumbai] are everywhere across America.” According to Kiyosaki, if China shifts the Yuan to gold—“the U.S. dollar collapses.”

Anyone Under 45 Will Live a “Multi-Stage Life”

In the future, AI will disrupt careers, dual-income households will be the norm, and juggling childcare and eldercare will fall on both men and women. Saving and building assets won’t be easy, retirement will be later and less luxurious, and you’ll need to constantly upskill just to keep up, according to psychologist and organizational theorist, Lynda Gratton.

Creativity May Be Your Only Hope

(Photo by Johannes Simon/Getty Images for Aidan Meller)

By 2027, millions of jobs could vanish—potentially hitting half the U.S. workforce. In this prediction, creativity isn’t just a nice-to-have—it’s your best shot at staying relevant since AI can’t easily replicate it. Skills like coding, marketing, and sales will still matter, but thinking outside the box might be what keeps you in the game, as told by business expert Scott Leese.

Blind Submission and Indoctrination

Political content creator CorinneStraight feels our issues are far worse than President Donald Trump, citing political advisor Stephen Miller’s “blind loyalty,” and MAGA’s harsh switch in rhetoric from “freedom and liberty” to submission and indoctrination. “They are all capable of horrific atrocities,” the political creator predicted.

America Will Go Bankrupt

“There has never been a country that has had $36 trillion dollars of debt,” investment expert Algy Smith Maxwell said during an interview on his investment podcast. According to him, professors studied the sovereign debt crisis and worked out that 90% GDP is the most a nation can sustain without a financial crisis. We’re currently sitting at 125%, the finance expert reported.

No Escaping a ‘Short-Term Dystopia’

(Photo by Kate Green/Getty Images for BoF)

“In the next 20 to 15 years, we are going to hit a short-term dystopia — there’s no escaping that,” former chief Business Officer of Google X Mo Gawdat stated during “Diary of a CEO” podcast. “We will have to prepare for a world that is very unfamiliar,” he said, predicting the “slip” to begin somewhere around 2027.

The Hidden Theory Behind Trump’s Tariffs

“He wants to crash the dollar,” journalist Tim Stanley predicted of Trump’s agenda behind his controversial tariffs. “The long term goal is, in two, four years time, factories are opening and people are saying ‘Well that wasn’t so bad after all.’”

ICE Coming for U.S. Citizens

In footage obtained by The_Resistance_Movement_USA, it appears that not a single republican voted in support of an amendment crafted to protect actual U.S. citizens from deportation. “U.S. citizens should never be detained by ICE or any agency conducting civil immigration enforcement,” the congresswoman stated in the footage. It seems the motion wasn’t popular amongst conservatives, per Ted Lieu.

The Next Five Years Will Change Faster Than Ever

“The world 5 years from now is going to be a radically different world,” Dalio predicted during an interview with Tucker Carlson, citing advances in AI and what’s technically possible with “quantum computing.” According to him, that the shift could feel much like stepping into a time warp.
