But a federal court judge sentenced him to 15 1/2 years in federal prison after Fogle entered a guilty plea, according to Reuters. U.S. District Judge Tanya Walton Pratt didn't show Fogle any mercy, even after hearing the pitchman's pleas.

Dr. John Bradford, a forensic psychiatrist, diagnosed Fogle with "mild" pedophilia. Jeremy Margolis, Fogle's attorney, said that after his client's weight loss, he traded in one addiction for another.

"He traded a horrible food addiction for a horrible sex addiction," said Margolis.

Fogle attempted to plead with the judge, stating that his wife and children would never be able to get over it. "You gave your wife $7 million; she'll be OK," Pratt responded. Fogle's wife reportedly filed for divorce.

In total, there were 12 victims identified in Fogle's case, and federal prosecutors had recommended a 12-1/2-year prison sentence. Margolis had asked for five. Apparently Pratt saw fit to hand down something longer.

Even when the 38-year-old Fogle is released from prisonโ€”most likely not until his mid-50sโ€”he will forever be a registered sex offender.
