The family of a former NFL running back is in mourning after the tragic death of his 30-year-old daughter. Tanasha Faulk passed away at Oschner Lafayette General Medical Center on Dec. 6, according to Lafayette, Louisiana news outlet,The Acadiana Advocate. Although no information has been released about the cause of death, The Acadania Advocate confirmed that no foul play is suspected at this time.

The tragedy surrounding Tanasha’s death is especially difficult for Faulk and his wife, Latisha, who have been together since middle school. It comes just four years after they lost their daughter, Kevione, who passed away in September 2021. Kevione, who was just 19 at the time of her death, was working with her dad as a student staffer for LSU’s football program. Kevin and Latisha, who also lost an infant son, Kevin Faulk Jr., have three surviving children, Tavion, Kevin III and Tionne.
According to her obituary, Tanasha is survived by her three daughters: Ava Shelvin, Jornell Zenon and Jaida Louis, and her partner of five years, Isaac Louis. She is remembered by those closest to her as someone who loved to cook and bring people together, especially during the holiday season.

“Her generosity, laughter, and loving nature created a sense of home wherever she went,” her obituary read.
A former All-American running back at LSU, Kevin Faulk has had a storied football career. He went on to the NFL, where he played for the New England Patriots from 1999 to 2011, winning three Super Bowl championships. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2022.
Tanasha’s family says she will be remembered for her kindness and as someone who brought light to everyone who knew her.
“Her memory will live on in the hearts of her beautiful girls and family,” her obituary read.
