His three-hour interview with Atlanta music executive Big Bank already has close to two million views in just two days, and it didn’t disappoint. From addressing the leaked calls to his beef with Gunna, here’s what you should know.

Getting Deep About Gunna

Thug’s relationship with Gunna has been rocky after Thug declared his former label mate a “snitch.” Now, he said they’ll never be cool. “You signing this one piece of paper could get me a life sentence,” he said of Gunna. “You gon let a piece of paper end all this s**t?”

Publicly the first time, Thugger actually admitted to being hurt emotionally by Gunna and other co-defendants who took pleas. “We brothers,” he said of Gunna. “Ain’t no n***a in this world could make me go against Gunna.”

Thug Blames Lil Woody for Everything

If you ask Thug, YSL affiliate named Lil Woody started the downfall of YSL. You probably remember Woody from when he took the stand in the YSL trial, becoming an overnight viral sensation. According to Thug, Woody was the one who began the case against YSL.

“This whole beef started cause of you [Woody],” he declared. “How the f**k you gon tell?” He went on to explain that Woody allegedly stole jewelry from a rival gang member, Big Nut, which prompted a war between that gang and YSL. “We just being real n****s and standing behind you [Woody].”

Addressing Those Leaked Calls

As we told you previously, leaked jail phone calls caught Thug gossiping about Glorilla, Future, Andre 3000, Travis Scott, J. Cole, Drake, Mariah the Scientist and Kendrick Lamar — did we miss anyone? In the interview, Thug not only apologized for being messy, but he chalked it up to being locked in a cell for 23 hours each day, which activists say is inhuman.

“I ain’t never been the n***a to talk about nobody else in my life,” Thug said. “I think I was just so f****d up and felt like it was just over.”

Thug as a Peacemaker in Atlanta

As far as peacemakers go, the “Digits” rapper took responsibility for bringing the City of Atlanta together. “I made n****s get together, I stopped a lot of beef,” Thug told Big Bank before adding, “I got Wham [Lil Baby] and [21] Savage on the phone to stop whatever could’ve happened with them.” It’s unclear exactly what beef was alleging brewing between the two rap icons, but Thug said both Lil Baby and 21 Savage would say the same thing if asked.

Where Is the Music?

Towards the end of the interview, Big Bank straight up asks Thug why he hasn’t dropped music since being released from jail. He responded in tears saying, “Cuz I just don’t got my twin, bro.” Thug added that he’s “f****d up” about being betrayed by Gunna. “And I ain’t lose no n***a to tragedy. I lost a n***a to betrayal.”

For the rapper, not having his YSL associates like Gunna has apparently killed his musical mojo. Still, Thug has dropped a few features and even leaked a five-minute diss track naming all the alleged “rats” in YSL.
