Here’s the breakdown. On Wednesday, it was reported that a handful of staff employees alleged that they weren’t getting their checks for the work they’re doing due to the music mogul being behind bars. Per TMZ, this is all has to do with the fact that Diddy’s money is currently being managed by business, Tri Star Sports & Entertainment, which is allegedly keeping a close eye on when and how much funds get spent and dispersed.

As a result, several employees have reportedly become disgruntled, including his lawyers that are handling his civil cases and haven’t been paid and other staffers. One person has also already quit.

However, according to Diddy–that’s not how things are playing out at all. Speaking in a separate statement to TMZ, his rep Juda Engelmayer explained: “People, personnel, and attorneys are all being paid, and no one is leaving. Sean Combs controls his own finances. Everyone gets paid for their work once it’s completed and confirmed, after routine review.”

To make matters even more complicated, Diddy’s own family is also getting tangled up in this finances fiasco. Specifically, they’re reportedly working with a limited budget (thought the exact number hasn’t been released) and should they go over–they have to submit an invoice to Tri Star for approval. That approval clearly doesn’t always come as the Bad Boy founder apparently wanted his family to out to dinner in NYC the night before he received his official prison sentence and Tri Star initially opted not to approve funds for the tab. They did eventually send out a reimbursement to the person who footed the bill.

As we told you, Diddy is currently serving out his 50 month sentence following his conviction on two counts of transporting individuals for prostitution in July 2025.
