Eddie Murphy, one of the most iconic comedians to ever be in the game, is back in the headlines once again. The 64-year-old legend has a brand new documentary out on Netflix, “Being Eddie,” which chronicles the trailblazing comedian’s rise to fame and career. In addition to being a working man, Murphy has also always made it incredibly clear that he is a family man as well. A father to 10 children, we’re breaking down each of his kids.

Eric Murphy
Eddie’s oldest child Eric Murphy, who he shares with his ex Paulette McNeely, is a writer and voice actor. As we reported, Eric (36), made headlines in recent years when he went public with his romance with Martin Lawrence’s daughter, Jasmin Page Lawrence. The two got engaged last December.
Eddie told CBS Mornings, “They’re both beautiful, they look amazing together — and it’s funny, everybody’s like, ‘What, is that baby gonna be funny?’ He quipped, “If they ever get married and have a child, I am expecting the child to be funny.”

Christian Murphy
Eddie’s son with Tamara Hood, Christian Murphy, was born in 1990. Like his older siblings and father before him, Christian spent some time in the past acting, appearing on shows like “The Shield” and “Cougars Inc.”
Myles Mithcell Murphy
Myles Mitchell Murphy is Eddie’s second child with his ex-wife Nicole Mitchell. Born in November 1992, Myles is not in the entertainment business like many of his siblings. Instead, Myles enjoys a quiet private life, with no social media presence at all. Myles and his wife Carly Fink welcomed a daughter together back in 2019, making Eddie a first-time grandfather.
Shayne Audra Murphy
Eddie and Mitchell’s third child together, Shayne Audra Murphy, was born in October of 1994. Like her brother Myles, Shayne did not pursue acting, but has appeared on television before in a different capacity. Shayne and Bria appeared together on “Hollywood Exes,” and Shayne also made an appearance on season 2 of “Claim to Fame.”
Zola Ivy Murphy
Zola Ivy Murphy is Eddie’s fourth child with Mitchell. Born in December of 1999, Zola keeps a very private life like her brother Myles. She does have an Instagram presence, as well as a substack, which she describes as a place for her to, “write about the things that move me: politics, pop culture, passion, spirituality, and the experience of navigating all four as an equal parts self-destructive, self-aware sybarite living in Los Angeles.”
Bella Zahra Murphy
Eddie and Mitchell’s fifth child together is Bella Zahra Murphy, born in 2002. Also dipping her toes into acting, Bella appeared with her father in
“Coming 2 America,” and also appeared in “Fairyland” in 2023.”
Angel Iris Murphy Brown
Murphy and Spice Girls star Mel B share a child together: Angel Iris Murphy Brown. Born in 2007, the comedian and the pop star dated each other back in 2006. In a post for Angel’s 18th birthday this year, as we reported, Mel B wrote, “I couldn’t be prouder of watching you grow and become the person you are but you’ll forever be my babyyyy I hope you keep chasing your dreams and be kind to everyone around you like you always have been my Angel. Love you always.”
Izzy Oona Murphy
Eddie’s next child was with his current wife, Paige Butcher. The two welcomed Izzy Oona Murphy back in 2016.
Max Charles Murphy
Eddie’s youngest child and second child with Butcher is Max Charles Murphy. He was November 30, 2018. As we reported at the time, Charles is named after Eddie’s late brother of the same name, who sadly passed away from leukemia in 2017.
