Looks like there’s trouble in paradise for Draya Michele and her boyfriend, Jalen Green – and social media is eating up the drama. A viral clip has been circulating on the internet of their heated exchange following a New York Fashion Week afterparty, and whew…it’s giving a full-on mess fest. Let’s break it down.

The drama popped off after the couple hit up the Mert Alas annual bash at SoHo’s The Manor. According to The Daily Mail, around 2:00 a.m. on Friday (Sept. 13), Green, 23, and Michele, 40, got into such a heated argument that their friends had to jump in and pull them apart.
In the clip, you can see Michele rushing toward Green as he storms ahead of her and their friends. “I’ll punch you back,” Green is heard saying while he walks away. Despite the friend’s attempt to cool them down, the couple continued to throw verbal jabs at one another outside the Seventy-One Gin party.
“Stop, stop, stop… everybody’s going to get into trouble,” their unidentified friend shouts at Michele as she continues to try to get to Green. “Everybody, forgive each other.” The argument continues as all four made their way down the sidewalk, with one friend trying to restrain Michele while moving her away from the confrontation.
This isn’t the couple’s first time making headlines. Since their relationship was announced in 2023, the 17-year age gap has been a topic of conversation, especially since they welcomed their daughter on Mother’s Day 2024. Michele is also a mother to her 23-year-old son, Kniko Howard, from a previous relationship, and she shares a 9-year-old son, Jru Sandick, with her ex-fiancé, Orlando Sandrick.
Back in January, social media dragged Michele for bringing her oldest son, Kniko Howard, to watch Green and the Houston Rockets play against the Minnesota Timberwolves, with many pointing out that her boyfriend is the same age as her son. So, it’s no surprise the internet had plenty to say about the couple’s quarrel.
“Women only become that aggressive while chasing a man when she’s gotten caught doing some sneaky shit. Godspeed, Jalen. Godspeed, one X user wrote.
“He needs to get away from that. She will cause him to lose his contract,” one TikTok user added. Another commented, “And they are going to show up to New York Fashion Week like nothing happened.”
And, well..that’s exactly what seems to have happened. Michele later posted on her Instagram stories from the Calvin Klein fashion show with Green sitting right by her side. In a follow-up post, she shared an ad caption: “Jet2holidays: Packages that you can trust.”
